This Friday, 12 December, the British Cemetery will, for the first time in Uruguay, offer a unique experience within the 20 years of Museums at Night, where artistic interventions engage in dialogue with the silence and memory of this open-air museum. 19:00 – 22:00 Tour of interventions Students from the Kühne Workshop will present works conceived especially for this singular space: performances, installations, readings, listenings, gestures and actions that explore visuality and sound as sensitive material for research. The premise was to interpret and challenge the silence of the British Cemetery through creativity, giving rise to diverse, respectful and harmonious proposals. The activity will be hosted by Prof. Carolina Lazo, Kim Maclean and Arch. Eduardo Montemuiño. The tour brings together reflections, testimonies, texts, images, sounds and documents that establish a metaphorical conversation with this place of rest and remembrance for generations of families and prominent figures from culture, music, art and national life.
