History of the British Cemetery Cementerio Británico Montevideo

Night of the Museums
8 December 2023 at 07:00 PM

We bid adieu to this eventful year with high spirits, upholding our tradition of participating in the “Museums at Night” initiative. We'll start at our beloved Chapel, where we'll exhibit an audiovisual and have a talk by renowned professors on Charles Darwin, closing the series of talks commemorating 190 years of Darwin in Uruguay. Then, the Cemetery will sparkle with lights, and amidst the moonlit and stars, alongside actors, we´ll resurrect remarkable life stories of individuals who've left an enduring legacy in our cherished country. As we draw the night to a close, our dear friend bagpiper, Patricia Izuiberjeres, will grace us with her music. Schedule: 7pm to 7:30pm - Chapel: Audiovisual “The Legacy of Darwin”. 7:30pm to 8pm - Chapel: Talk by Professor Anita Aisenberg, Professor Raul Maneyro, and Professor Nadia Kacevas. 8:15pm - Cemetery Tour: “History of the British Cemetery”. We conclude with the Bagpipes.
