We embarked on a brief tour of the Cemetery and uncovered the stories of some remarkable 19th-century British immigrants to Uruguay and their families: James MacEntyre and his business associate Michael Hines, John Edye and Frederick Crocker, who´s intriguing lives were unfolded to us under the knowledgeable guidance of Robert Wells. Following the tour, we gathered in our garden for delightful nibbles and refreshing drinks.
